Hoechst

Hoechst AG ( formerly Mater Lucius & Brüning) - in Frankfurt am Main was one of the three largest chemical and pharmaceutical companies in Germany. It was founded in 1863. The realignment and restructuring began in 1994, and the former main plant became the Höchst industrial park in 1997. After the transfer to a holding company, Hoechst AG joined Rhône-Poulenc to become Aventis S.A. in 1999. based in Strasbourg and spun off the remaining chemical activities in Celanese AG.
