The label was founded by Eli Toscano and Howard Bedno and was active from 1956-1959. Launched the recording careers of Chicago blues artists Otis Rush, [a328144] and Buddy Guy. Dissatisfied with his arrangement with Chess Records, [a166684] joined Cobra where served in many capacities, including talent scout, producer, arranger, songwriter, bassist and became the label's artistic vision.
