Samyphone

Moroccan label based in Casablanca founded around 1955 by Moroccan-Jewish singer and composer Samy El Maghribi. The records were manufactured in France. In the early 1960s, the Israeli label Zakiphon began pressing and distributing Samyphone releases in Israel. In the late 1960s, Pathé began reissuing Samyphone releases from the 1950s for the French market.
