The Philadelphia based V-Tone label was owned by Buddy Caldwell, whose given first name was "Venton" hence Venton Caldwell. He took the V from that name and created the V-Tone label. He also owned Palm (5) and Len Records For all unofficial / bootleg copies of this label please use V-Tone Records (4)
