Church Of Santa María De La Consolación, Garrovillas De Alconétar, Caceres (Extremadura), Spain
Настоящее имя: Church Of Santa María De La Consolación, Garrovillas De Alconétar, Caceres (Extremadura), Spain
The church of Santa María de la Consolación has the only known organ in Spain that dates from the time of Aguilera de Heredia.
It is smaller than anyone preserved at any Spanish cathedral, but it allows us to approach what might have been the original sonority of Aguilera’s music.
Organ: Anonymous ~ ca. 1550, before 1578. Restored by Juan Amador “El Joven” 1677, adding, in all probability, the half stops.
Gerard de Graaf restored it again in 1990
Pitch 1 ½ tones above 440 Hz; 1⁄4 comma mean-tone temperament
1 manual of 42 keys (C-a”) with a short octave
