Gentse Feesten

Annual 10 day festival that takes place throughout the city of Ghent (Belgium) in July. The tradition dates back to 1843 but was revived in 1969 through the efforts of Walter De Buck and Trefpunt VZW (still the organizer). Some of the main concert locations include Bij Sint-Jacobs, Sint-Baafsplein, the Kouter (where the Boomtown festival takes place), the Graslei (Polé Polé) and the Korenmarkt.
