CBD - Brazilian record company, established 1955 after renaming Sociedade Interamericana de Representações" (Sinter). In 1958 bought by Philips, the company distributed Polydor and Philips in Brazil. Renamed to Companhia Brasileira De Discos Phonogram in April 1971. CBD also operated a recording studio > CBD and a vinyl manufacturing plant in Barra de Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, identified by a 200 code in the runout area on their pressings, and is credited as record manufacturer for other companies, such as Elenco or Tapecar.
