Frank Cannova's Hawaiian Inn
Настоящее имя: Frank Cannova's Hawaiian Inn
Venue owned by Frank Cannova. It was located at 6200 Gulf Blvd in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida. The original name was The Desert Resort. In 1974, it became The Hawaiian Inn.
Some of the artists that appeared there were Erni Benet, Johnny Charro, Lenny Dee, Kuki and his Kandy Kompany, Fatu Lauoletolo aka Mr. Fatu (Elvis impersonator), The Loris Gaines Harmonican Band, The Maui Bandsmen and Rose Netane with The Tonga Islanders. Performances by Lauoletolo and Natane were recorded at the venue which were released on record LP during the 1970s. The venue logo on the cover of the LP releases by those two artists is more or less the same design as the Hawaiian Inn record label.
The inn sustained heavy damage in November 1978 due to a fire. In February the following year, Cannova sold the venue to Resort Inns of America.
