Frankfurter Sparkasse Von 1822 (Polytechnische Gesellschaft)

The "Frankfurter Sparkasse von 1822" was a savings bank founded in 1822 by the Polytechnische Gesellschaft (the full name appears as such on records, often in conjunction with the "Verein zur Pflege der Kammermusik und zur Förderung junger Musiker") which sponsored numerous social and artistic endeavours. In 1989 it was merged with the "Stadtsparkasse Frankfurt" to form the Frankfurter Sparkasse.
