Webco Records
Настоящее имя: Webco Records
Webco Records was founded in 1980 by its namesake Mr. Wayne E. Busbice. Between 1985 and 1988 Bill Emerson worked with Busbice as A&R director. In 1989 Bill Emerson, with his son Johh, took over the label. From 1990 until 1994 John Emerson operated the label as "Webco Records of Virginia," moving it into the major league with the more widely distributed Sugar Hill, Rounder and Rebel Records. Due to much labored improvements in the label's talent roster, product quality, and sales distribution the label had grown over three owners and 13 years into what one reviewr called "he fourth major bluegrass record label." In 1994 Tom Riggs acquired the Webco label as a part of his "Pinecastle Recording Co., Inc.," which itself was founded in 1991.
