Saru Records was probably the second most successful independent Cleveland based label (Way Out Being the most successful). It operated for three years (1968-1971). The label was owned cousins Chuck Brown (9) and Frank Keys, and was named after their mothers, SAra and RUth. The label went through two separate phases, hence the two separate addresses.
