Fuchsia Death Records

Fuchsia Death Records (FDR) was a short-lived (2001-02) miscellaneous experimental label formed by three high school seniors who, in various combinations, made up the following bands: NEON SANDWICH - absurdist folk/performance art BAZ - lo-fi dadaist noise-folk OB STOKKEM - absurd harsh noise/sound collage VISCOUS ELVIS CYST - absurdist industrial/"power-goth" FREEZE ETCH - post-industrial The label existed primarily as a stamp for their own home-made releases, issued in very limited quantities on CDR and cassette. Once the triumvirate discontinued their own musical collaborations, the label disappeared with them. FREEZE ETCH is the only FDR band currently still active and has since moved on to other labels (though the only FDR bands that have been officially declared "dead" are Neon Sandwich and Baz -- the others are just "inactive"). FDR also transformed into Finding Datura Records and a zine of the same name for a short time after the core of Fuchsia Death had crumbled (2002-04), but neither are active any longer.
