Top10 Records stands out from the rest is down to its peculiar definition of pop music. Needless to say, we are not talking about the concept of pop music as propagated by the global "energy radio stations". On Top10 Records, pop is conceived as a declaration of faith in songs with a fearless use of hedonistic hook lines, spiced up with citations from the voluptuous treasure trove of the musical past. 2003-2006 The first single Sultans of Swing | Summerbreeze was surprisingly successful, received very good reviews in the press and was represented worldwide in club & radio charts due to its "charming 70s MFSB Phillysound". It was followed by further Sultans of Swing releases and various remixes… 2009: release of the first King Electric single Da King. The Radio Mix was also available on the FM4 Sound Selection 20 (feat. MGMT, Animal Collective, Franz Ferdinand, Placebo, etc.) and reached Nr. 5 at the official Austrian Compilation Charts and Nr. 29 at Austrian Indie Charts. The official video clip with the two clowns was even presented as part of the Diagonale 2010 (Festival of Austrian Film). 2011: 2nd King Electric Single Commit Yourself peaked #12 @ Austrian Indie Charts and #45 @ US Alternative Charts. 2012: release of 3rd King Electric single Out Of Reach + self titled debut Album King Electric, release date may 2012!
