Bakersfield International

Formed in 1956 by R.B. Christensen; it had a 100 and 500 series and folded in 1959.
Bakersfield International was a record label strongly influenced by country and western's "Bakersfield Sound." Founded in Bakersfield, California by guitarist, singer, Grammy and Dove award-winning songwriter and producer Gary Sanford Paxton (a.k.a. Gary S. Paxton, Gary Paxton). The label is known to have been in existence by July, 1967 when it signed Clarence White (The Kentucky Colonels, The Byrds).
Paxton relocated to Nashville, Tennessee in 1970.
