Parakultural
Настоящее имя: Parakultural
Argentine performance stage located in Venezuela 336, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and later other locales. Owned by Omar Viola y Horacio Gabin, it was active as a venue for local music from 1986 to 1995, and is still active today as a Tango club.
First and foremost it was known as an ad-hoc theater for the Buenos Aires underground art scene, but it also became a hub for the nascent punk, skinhead and goth movements, and later grew to include Folk and Tango dance shows. It was widely considered one of the hearts of the Buenos Aires music scene.
In 1990, the original venue closed and reopened in Chacabuco 1000, CABA, Argentina after some sporadic relocations. The organization there expanded it's horizons to include Folk and Tango acts. Closed down in 1995 after continued problems with the neighbors, which marked the end of the Parakultural as a music stage. From there on, the Parakultural became exclusively a Milonga and Tango dance club.
