A subsidiary label of Pickwick International, Inc., commonly manufactured by Keel Mfg. Corp.
The label brand was launched in the spring of 1965, when Pickwick had a new deal with Capitol Records for their unused back catalog, as mentioned in "Billboard", March 6, 1965, page 3.
Even in the beginning, the label used licenses of Capitol Records, Warner Bros. Records, Reprise Records, Everest, ABC-Paramount, Roulette Records and other labels.
The label was in use till approximately middle of the 70s.
The main activity of the Pickwick/33 label was to bring high quality "Re-Releases" from the libraries of many distinguished major and independent recording companies.
