The ship originally was a Ukrainian stone-carrier, built in 1968. It was remodeled as a concert- and cultural venue in 2003, when it received its new name, Artemovszk 38. The opening concert was held by Maceo Parker. The label - A38 - belongs to the same brand and company as the venue.
