Welsh Music Foundation

Welsh Music Foundation (WMF), the agency which supports and promotes the interests of the music industry in Wales, was founded in 2000, is the music industry development agency for Wales. They assist, promote and advocate for a sustainable music sector in Wales, working with any music enterprise or practitioner, regardless of genre or language, that has, or is developing an economic and sustainable focus to its activities. WMF assists across all types of music activity – from musicians and media composers to venues and festivals; from studios and rehearsal rooms to labels and managers. Now cease to operate following the Welsh Government’s refusal to offer continued funding.(July 2014)
