Austrian Soccer Club from Vienna, nicknamed Die Veilchen. Austria Wien were founded in Vienna on 12 March 1911 as the Wiener Amateur Sportvereinigung by players and officials of the Vienna Cricket- and Football- Club, taking violet and white as the new club's colours. They are considered the most successful club in Austria by titles, having won the highest Austrian league 24 times, the Austrian Cup 27 times and the Austrian Super-Cup 6 times. Last title win was the Austrian league in 2012/2013, which leaded into the qualification for UEFA Champions League. The club was home to famous Austrian soccer stars like Herbert Prohaska or Walter Schachner (2) in their great time at the end of the 70ies when it succeeded in UEFA-Cup (F.K. Austria Memphis - Europacup 78/79 Livereportagen). Another release connected to that era is F.K. Austria Memphis-Song.
