2 CDs For The Price Of 1
Настоящее имя: 2 CDs For The Price Of 1
"2 CDs For The Price Of 1" was a double-CD housed in a slipcase package series created by Australia's Shock (2) and America's Trustkill Records. There were eight releases in the series, all of them released on February 16, 2008.
After distributing American-pressed CDs from Trustkill Records in 2007 and quickly selling out, Shock Records decided to repress them in Australia. Each album was housed in its own jewel case but the packaging included two albums by the same band, inside a single slipcase with the barcode. Since they were meant to be sold together, and never separately, the individual jewel cases did not have barcodes (with the exception of the Bleeding Through releases) and the two albums shared the same catalog numbers (for each band). These Australian-manufactured discs were never sold separately in retail. They may have been separated by individual owners over the years, or sold separately to fetch a higher value, but they were always sold in store as a bundle, with the slipcase (by obligation since only the slipcase featured the barcode to register a sale). The two Bleeding Through releases instead included a bonus DVDs which were packaged in a double-disc jewel case; they did not include a cardboard slipcase and had the barcode printed on the back of the jewel case cover.
The catalog numbers themselves indicate the package:
TK stood for Trustkill.
241 stood for "two for one" (two for the price of one).
00 the last two digits stood for the number in the series.
