INaudible is a Belgian independent music label, operated by an eponymous non-profit organization and collective INaudible asbl and dedicated to promoting, developing, and presenting free improvised music to the audience. In 1981, INaudible self-released the ensemble's debut, limited-edition Musique Improvisée LP. Almost twenty years later, the label resurfaced and continued releasing music on Audio CD.
The second album, The Little Green Bite Crashed (CD 002), showcased a duo between flutist Adelheid Sieuw and guitarist Jan Huib Nas, longrunning INaudible members. Another release, The Mercelis Concert In Brussels 2006 (CD 006), which came out circa '06, featured live trios recorded in London and Brussels: one of the core members, vocalist J-M van Schouwburg, with Jean Demey on double bass and John Russell on acoustic guitar. The rest of INaudible's catalog mostly presented solo works by frequent participants.
INaudible released two albums in collaboration with other independent labels—most prominently, Emanem, which co-released INaudible Collectif's second album, CARDO (CD 005) in Dec 2005, featuring twelve duos, trios, and quartets by various collective's members. Second joint production with a French label Improvising Beings, Kosai Yujyo (CD 008/9), came out in June 2012. This limited-edition 2xCD presented live improvisations from Japanese freejazz drummer Sabu Toyozumi's European tour in 2010-11.
In thirty-five years, INaudible released seven albums (skipping No. 7 in the official catalog). In addition to the debut LP and six CD albums, INaudible published a 'very first audiocalendar for the free improvised music,' 15.16 Tempo Al Tempo with photographer/visual artist Pat Lugo. The 22p calendar, limited to 100 copies, came with a CD-R compilation.
