Daniel Barenboim: Beethoven Sonatas

Daniel Barenboim's cycle of Beethoven piano sonatas was first issued by World Record Club in Australia between 1969 and 1972, and reissued in the usual variations (sleeve colour, label layouts, R- numbers on the labels) at least 7 times over the years, into the early 1980s. It was marketed as a series by World Record Club, and the individual releases were described as albums. Also issued on cassette and reel-to-reel at various times. S/T 4335, first issued in December 1967, is debatable as part of the series, as only the 1975 edition features the standard series layout, designed by Graeme Moore.
