Official Bootleg Series (4)

A series of "official bootleg" recordings from The The. The design is based on the bootlegs Matt collected in his late teens / early twenties – white label vinyl records housed in utilitarian card sleeves with typewritten track-listings hidden inside. The releases are retrieved from tapes in their large, dusty archive, each containing either demos, live recordings, rough mixes, interviews or promotional performances. Each volume of miniaturised digital versions is mastered at Studio Cineola and burned onto classic ‘vinyl’ CDs and encased in vintage-style heavy card sleeve with hand-stamped numbering, debossed foil logos and a holographic stamp of authenticity. Due to the age and nature of the recordings certain imperfections and distortions may be audible at times.
