ΕΡΤ (Ελληνική Ραδιοφωνία-Τηλεόραση)
Настоящее имя: ΕΡΤ (Ελληνική Ραδιοφωνία-Τηλεόραση)
ERT (Greek Radio-Television) is the Greek state-owned public broadcasting corporation.
ERT began in 1938 as radio station under the name EIR (National Radio Foundation), [Greek: ΕΙΡ (Ἐθνικόν Ἳδρυμα Ραδιοφωνίας)]. EIR was one of 23 founding broadcasting organisations of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU-UER) in 1950.
First television broadcast steps were made in 1965. In 1970 EIR renamed to EIRT (National Radio and Television Foundation), [Greek: ΕΙΡT (Ἐθνικόν Ἳδρυμα Ραδιοφωνίας-Τηλεοράσεως)]. By that time there were only two public TV services ERT and TED (Armed Forces Television), [Greek: ΤΕΔ (Τηλεόρασις Ἐνόπλων Δυνάμεων)], that was under the control of the Greek Army. In 1972 TED changed its name to YENED (Armed Forces Information Service), [Greek: ΥΕΝΕΔ (Ὑπηρεσία Ἐνημερώσεως Ἐνόπλων Δυνάμεων)]. YENED became ERT 2 in 1982 .
Its legal status changed on December 3, 1975, when it was transformed from an institution (EIRT) into a public limited company (ERT S.A.).
On July 26, 2013 ERT ceased its operation and became DT (Public Television), [Greek: ΔΤ (Δημόσια Τηλεόραση)]. On May 4, 2014, the name changed again to NERIT (New Hellenic Radio, Internet & Television), [Greek: ΝΕΡΙΤ (Νέα Ελληνική Ραδιοφωνία, Ίντερνετ και Τηλεόραση)]. On June 11, 2015 the name changed back to ERT.
