Dynamic House, Inc.
Настоящее имя: Dynamic House, Inc.
Dynamic House was established in 1972, a renaming of Continental House, which itself was formed in 1971 by Continental Dynamics, Inc. (CDI) of North Hollywood, California. Dynamic House was a telemarketer, specializing in late-night television advertising hosted by celebrities.
Their first telemarketing success (as Continental House) was the 4-LP set "Greatest Love Songs of the Century, Volumes 1-4," the ad hosted by Jaye P. Morgan. Before another Continental House ad could be run, they changed the name to Dynamic House, perhaps to avoid confusion with the world-famous hotel by that name. In 1972, the company contracted with Roulette Records to supply a 4-LP box set called "The Greatest Rock And Roll Hits." This time the ad was hosted by Chubby Checker. The box set sold at least $3 million worth of records, which prompted a Volume 2, also manufactured by Roulette.
In 1973, CDI established another label, Tele House, which was also successful. The recession of 1974 hit the TV marketers hard, and by October, 1974, founder Jon M. Huntsman, Sr. and his partner Larry Crane sold the company to Edward Hutcher. After reorganizing the company's debt (much of it owed to Roulette), Hutcher discontinued the Dynamic House name and continued for several more years with Tele House.
