Asfalt Records

Asfalt Records, an Independent Polish Hip Hop label (www.asfalt.pl), was established in October 1998 by founder and sole owner Marcin "Tytus" Grabski. The label began by releasing material from likes of O.S.T.R., Fisz and Emade, Łona and Webber, and it's reputation and the popularity of it's artists grew quickly. O.S.T.R., a rapper and producer, has seen five of his records go Gold (and one Platinum) earning him the status as Poland's biggest Hip Hop star. Asfalt Records is responsible for releasing the first Polish Hip Hop vinyl available on open sale. Since 2005, Asfalt Records has collaborated with USA independent artists like Baatin/Black Milk, Declaime, Grand Agent, Craig G, Wildchild & DJ Romes, Rasco, Tame One, El Da Sensei and Cadillac Dale. The label has also worked with UK artists such as Dirty Diggers, Reps and Dan Fresh of Skill Mega and Witchdoctor Wise. The label is known for the quality of it's output, both musically and with regard to artwork, but still manages to keep the price of it's product as low as possible. Asfalt Records' releases are currently distributed in Poland by EMI Music. Asfalt Records also runs a booking agency for its artists. (live.asfalt.pl)
