Noir

Noir Recordings was set up in 1996 as a collaborative venture by Brillo and Vinyl Distribution. Noirs' music policy of hard but funky drum and bass was somewhat shaped by the first four releases, all coming from the Street Beats artist and label manager, Blue (2). In 1998 Blue (2) took over the label management of Noir. In 2000, with the formation of two new labels in the Street Beats fold (Pi (3.14) and Sensor), Blue decided to delegate part of the label management responsibilities of Noir to Scope (another Street Beats artist).
