Amoebic

AMOEBiC was started in 1997 by Otomo Yoshihide and Sachiko M. It is comprised of two individual subsidiary labels: Otomo's Valve (VA cat. numbers) and Sachiko's Sat (SAT cat. numbers). Both labels had releases on CD and cassettes. AMOEBiC runs under "amoebic" management: both producers are working according to their current financial and general situations, without formal obligations. They both are curating catalog on their own, choosing music solely to the liking. And they sometimes "parasitize" the other labels in order to release the best music possible. AMO-HOA-01 and AMO-ISO-01 are 'shared' releases, assigned both to Sat and VALVE labels, and AMO-CDR-1 (Otomo Yoshihide - Guitar Solo Live 1 in 1999) was released only under 'Amoebic' label name. The label is on long hiatus, with no new releases since AMO-SAT-03 in 2001.
