The trading name has changed several times (see notes below). Active independently until 29th January 2013, until certain companies that formed part of the EMI Group Ltd. (Formerly) EMI Group Plc were purchased by Vivendi S.A. (Universal Music Group.)The company was renamed EMI Recorded Music Australia Pty Ltd which is now administered by Universal Music Australia Pty Ltd. and forms part of the Universal Music Group.
