Swinging Europe

Danish based organization initiated by Birgit Vinge and Erik Moseholm in 1997 to organize The European Jazz Youth Orchestra (1998 to 2007) => European Jazz Orchestra (2008 to 2013). Swinging Europe started as a project by Foreningen Kulturremisen - Brande at Remisen in Brande. In 2010 the organization was moved to Herning and re-structured as the self-governing institution Den Selvejende Institution Swinging Europe (DSI-SE), see DSI SE. Other Swinging Europe projects are Play!Ground Live, Play!Ground Live Nordic, Young Nordic Stars, Liberty, Grænseløs, MoSaIC and Moorjazz Festival.
