The “RAMAGRAPH” DISC RECORD was recorded and marketed specifically for the market in Bombay, and despite being manufactured in Germany, did not seek to broaden its appeal beyond that territory. The recording program and releases on this label were slow but steady, and had remained within the confines of Western India, particularly reflecting the musical tastes of the Gujarati, Hindustani and Marathi speaking people in Bombay itself, making no attempt to extend to Central, Northern or Southern India.
