Kino Lorber
Настоящее имя: Kino Lorber
American international film distribution company, established in 1977 and based in New York City. It was initially founded as Kino International by Bill Pence, who sold the business within the first year to Donald Krim and moved on to organize the Telluride Film Festival. The company rosed to prominence by importing and releasing rare international films and "art-house" movies unavailable in US theaters, as well as uncovering rare American classics and silent cinema gems. Over the years, Kino International brought numerous iconic film directors to a broader US audience, including Wong Kar Wai, Michelangelo Antonioni, Djibril Diop Mambéty, Aki Kaurismäki, Bertrand Tavernier, Andrei Tarkovsky, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau and numerous others. In 2009, Richard Lorber's company Lorber HT Digital acquired Kino International, rebranding it as Kino Lorber.
