British independent label, releasing both new music by contemporary artists and previously-unreleased archival recordings.
Founded in 2009 and based in London & Tokyo, it is owned and run by Darrel Sheinman.
Well known for their jazz releases, some taken from jazz programmes on the BBC. For example, their "BBC Jazz For Moderns" series are taken from the BBC Jazz For Moderns radio series broadcasts in 1962, hosted by Steve Race, produced at the time by Terry Henebery, and recorded at the BBC Maida Vale Studios. Others include their Japanese Editions series with legendary performances done at London jazz club Ronnie Scott's.
They also do various studio mixing and production work, and run an all-analogue cutting and mastering studio situated at Tileyard Studios in King's Cross, London (The Gearbox Recording Studio, London, UK).
