A-R Editions, Inc.

Founded in 1962 by 2 Yale University graduates, Gary Aamodt & Clyde Rykken (the A and the R of A-R Editions), to publish the research of musicologists who had come to the US after World War II. The focus of the company is to publish music by lesser-known composers who had made significant contributions to the development of Western music, including works from before the printing press or commercially available sheet music (the “Recent Researches in Music” series).
