Lock Records

1960s soul label from Chicago, Illinois. See also Lock Central and Locket Records (3). Founded in 1968 by producer Clarence Johnson, arranger Johnny Cameron, songwriter Eddie Sullivan and businessman Eddie O'Kelly. "LOCK" stands for Lucky Cordell, Ed O'Kelly (who independently owned Teako), Clarence Johnson and Kenneth Wells. The label collapsed in 1970.
