Introducing Rootikaly Movement’s first music label release. Rootikaly Movement has been involved in the sound system scene for a long time, playing exclusive tunes, dubplates and pre-releases recognizable by everyone attending their dances. Now is the time that these tunes make it to the public for people to enjoy. This first record release is a 12” maxi single with a vocal and dub version on each side. Riddim track and mix by Sergio Lopez aka Japu Selekta was recorded and produced in London, U.K. and Linares (Andalucía), Spain between 2016 - 2020. The beautifully crafted instrumental takes us back to the classic 80s U.K. Reggae Roots sound. British singer ‘El Indio’ performs a remarkable piece on the A side. Conscious lyrics that leave no one untouched, written from the bottom of his heart, this vocal track alongside the extended version really hits a nerve and makes us reflect. On the other side, one of the most active and talented singers from Spain, Payoh Soulrebel energetically stresses the importance of fighting everyday to change the world, one away tune with a tuff dub mix that no singer/DJ would be able to resist jumping on.
