Empire Record (3)

Rare British label from 1931 which was established by Jack Goodson. After the Goodson Record he had started in 1928 had collapsed in early 1931, and following the failure (around mid-1931) of the short-lived Lido (8) label which continued the activity of the Goodson Gramophone Record Co. Ltd., Jack Goodson tried new further attempt to enter the record market with another label - Empire Record (3) - which was produced by The Globe Record Co. Ltd. This label was active only from August to October 1931 and its extreme rarity indicates that this final venture must have also failed due to poor sales.
