Microscope Gallery, Brooklyn, NY

American contemporary art gallery, established in 2010 and located in Chelsea, New York City. Microscope Gallery specializes in the works of emerging and critically-acclaimed contemporary artists on the crossing of various genres and disciplines, such as moving images, sound, performance and digital art. In September 2014, the gallery moved from its original 4 Charles Place location to a larger space at 1329 Willoughby Ave in Brooklyn. Microscope further expanded and moved to its current venue at West 29th Street. Some of the prominent international artists exhibited at Microscope Gallery over the years include Anthology Film Archives founder Jonas Mekas, Nick Zedd, Michael Snow, Amos Poe, Ken Jacobs, George Maciunas, and Lary Seven. In 2016–17, the gallery produced and co-curated a series of ten cinema events in collaboration with the Whitney Museum Of American Art.
