World Music Store

World Music was a store specialized in the sale of 12 Inch LPs and CDs Singles & Remixes, and professional audio equipment for DJs. It offered DJ courses and was one of the famous stores among the set of stores that emerged in the 90s and which encouraged the dance music movement in the national scene of Rio de Janeiro, being a meeting point for DJs, radio professionals, music professionals and professionals in the city's nightclubs. Located in a two floor gallery with many stores (2 of them from the same segment) that became known as the 'Galeria dos DJs' in Copacabana, the store fed music professionals and electronic music lovers with musical news and the electronic hit parade charts. It was a distribution point for independent electronic productions, in addition to producing its own Bootlegs with remixes of the songs that would be successful on the dancefloors and on the radio.
