Harmonia Records (2)

Former U.S. Shellac label produced by the Harmonia Records Corp. of New York City. The label specialized in ethnic music, such as polkas, Latino dance numbers, Italian vocals, and other folk dance music. Based on citations in Billboard magazine, the label existed as early as 1943. The label lasted until 1955. In 1948, Harmonia purchased Sonart (2) masters and took over production and distribution.
