Colonial Record
Настоящее имя: Colonial Record
The Colonial Record label was registered by Henry John Cullum of Lockwoods on 31 Aug., 1910 and the records were pressed in Germany by Homophone for export to Australia. The labels state "Not For Sale In U.K." Cullum was the managing Director of Lockwoods of City Road, London and The Australian Trademark registration of August, 1910 was followed by a London trademark registration in November, 1910. These dates certainly coincide with the beginning of this label, but it's uncertain exactly how long it was in production, There were about 300 releases, so most likely Colonial existed for at least a couple of years.
In about 1913 the label name became Colonial Perophone, but this new version of the label only existed for about a year as production in Germany suddenly ceased with the outbreak of war in August, 1914. After 1914 the final version of the label was just Perophone, which was produced in Britain.
