Dictator Records is a record label based out of Atlanta, Georgia, focusing on music production, music publishing and artist management. Dictator Records was founded in the year 1997. Since Then, the record label has sold over 30,000 records world wide, since its first label release titled “On Tha Rise” by the group MRM, which was released in 1997 following the second album compilation release of in house producer/rapper Lil’ Dre titled “Young N Ballin'” which was released the following year. Since then Dictator Records has released several albums, compilations and singles that have charted billboard. Since the start of the label, Dictator Records has been a backbone to the overall Atlanta music scene and the south as a whole. In a world where music & entertainment is distributed digitally via the internet, mobile devices & tablets, Dictator Records has adapted to the new digital age of entertainment. Dictator Records as a record label has helped in promoting & launching the careers of some of today’s top recording artists coming out of Atlanta with the label produced compilation album series titled “Southern Xposure”. The Southern Xposure project has had national distribution in major retail chains across the country and also including mom & pop stores as well, making it a brand of its own rights. Southern Xposure compilation albums have featured music from Epic recording group 404 Soldierz, Warner Brothers records recording artist Lil Scrappy, Shady/Aftermath recording artist Stat Quo, So So Def/Virgin records recording artist Young Capone, So So Def/Arista recording artist Bone Crusher, Asylum/Warner Brothers recording artist Homebwoi, Grand Hustle records recording artist Ak The Razor Man, BME Recordings/Warner Brothers group BHI, Universal records recording artist Hitman Sammy Sam, Asylum/Warner Brothers records recording artist Juney Boomdata, Dictator Records recording artist Drizzle Dollar, Interscope records recording Artist Llyod to name a few, have all gained national exposure. Today Dictator Records has employed a roster of recording artists, in house record producers, staff writers to create and produce the sound track of our every day lives, which is our main goal and focus as a recording & production label.
