Svenska Ungdomsringen För Bygdekultur
Настоящее имя: Svenska Ungdomsringen För Bygdekultur
The Swedish folk dance organization, named Svenska Ungdomsringen för Bygdekultur 1922-2004, named Svenska Folkdansringen 1920-1922 and from 2005. Colloquially named Ungdomsringen, their publishing arm (Förlaget) cooperated on, or commissioned, recordings of folk dance music on records and cassettes.
The earliest recordings were done in collaboration with His Master's Voice in 1937, and then again in 1950, both times featuring fiddlers from the outdoor museum Skansen in Stockholm. In the late 1950's they collaborated with Cupol and together with Walter Kögler in Stuttgart, released 45 rpm records and dance instructions, both in Sweden and Germany.
Some regional branches have also published recordings of regional music.
