AZBI

Lithuanian label and manufacturer. Founded 1990. At first the business of AZBI was duplication of unlicensed cassettes (was legal due to lack of copyright laws at the time). In 1992 daughter company UAB "Albikora" was founded to take on distribution activities. First officially released cassettes released in 1993. Also at similar timeframe, maybe a bit later, AZBI started licensing Russian releases directly from owner companies for local distribution. Active label and production activities seem to end in around 2001, but officially the company closed in 2004, having been subject to police raid and confiscation of lots of pirate production earlier the same year.
