"AMPLIFY 2020: quarantine" was an online festival organized and curated by Jon Abbey with the assistance of Vanessa Rossetto and Matthew Revert as a direct response to the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic. Sound artists around the world had been invited to record "aural postcards" from their respective states of isolation, creating a collective journal of the times. Starting from March 20, the fest was put on hold between May 31 and June 2 in solidarity with the protesters against George Floyd's killing by Minneapolis police on May 25. "AMPLIFY 2020: quarantine" ended after six months with the release of the All Together Now encore – an overdub of every track in the entire festival – on September 21. The fest was dedicated to Sean Baxter, George Floyd, Simon Fell and Cor Fuhler.
