Japanese Record Company. The company was founded in March 1956 by André Calabuig, a French businessman living in Japan.
In October 1957, merged with Nippon Mercury (some records released during this period are credited under the name "Nippon Disque Co.,Ltd.").
In September 1958, it separated from Nippon Mercury and entered into a business partnership agreement with Victor Company Of Japan, Ltd.
In February 1963, the company was dissolved.
Compagnie Japonaise Du Disque was distributing the following labels:
- Ducretet Thomson (From 1956)
- L'Oiseau-Lyre (From 1957. It was distributed by Universal Record Co., Ltd. (2) for a time from June 1958.)
- Hispavox (From April 1959)
- Les Discophiles Français
