Norsk Kulturråds Klassikerserie

The Norwegian Cultural Council has taken the initiativ in providing for release of a series of recordings comprising the pick of Norwegian music over the last few centuries, to enable present-day listeners to share in the pleasure these compositions have afforded generations of music lovers in the past. Edited by a committee appointed by the Norwegian Cultural Council (Egil Monn Iversen, chairman, Øystein Gaukstad, Johan Kvandal, Gunnar Rugstad), the series is financed by the Norwegian Cultural Fund.
