Japanese distribution label initially specialized in classic progressive rock. Edison released many LP and CD in cooperation with BMG Victor Inc., King Record Co. Ltd and Polydor K.K as part of their "European Rock Series". Related to "Moon Witch Records" and "Spring Song Corporation" Japan. Also some CD can have Obis with a sticker " Distributed by Garden Shed". During the mid-80s when the director/producer Yoshiyuki Kuroda formerly of City Rocker/Dogma Records and Doll magazine joined Edison and established Music Visions, they began to also specialize in punk, hardcore, new wave, heavy metal and other underground rock.
