A music school founded in 1970 by musician/composer Warren Park to address the need for music education in popular and roots music styles like blues, jazz, folk, rock and roll, R & B, Celtic, and country. It was a gathering place for folk and roots artists of the 1970s such as Bonnie Raitt, Spider John Koerner, Willie Murphy, and Dave Ray.
After 45 years in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis, the West Bank School of Music (WBSM) moved in July 2015 to Saint Paul.
