US label for classical music. Label Code: LC 8288 / LC 08288 A "Digital" tag is positioned under the logo for a series of recordings using an exclusive process of "Digital Recording" to compete with the high end audiophile pressings at the time from other major label makers like RCA and Angel Records etc. Recordings were engineered on the "JVC Digital Audio System" (DAS-90). Vinyl pressings were issued on a quality virgin vinyl, and cassettes issued on chromium-dioxide tape formulas. LP's using an exclusive process of "Digital Recording" carry a prefix D-VCL and tapes use D-VCS, while the others a prefix VCL or VCS.
